Static Password authentication is one of the easiest and the most convenient authentication mechanisms to gain access into a system. Unfortunately, these static password authentication systems are not foolproof and can be vulnerable to various attacks such as replay attack, brute force attacks, modification attacks, spoofing attacks, guessing attack. So One-time password authentication which uses dynamic password helps to enhance the security of password and makes it difficult for unauthorized users to gain access to restricted resources. Many OTP generating schemes using time synchronized token, smart cards, Short Message Service (SMS) and QR code based authentication systems provide a layer of additional security in accessing restricted resources. However, the currently existing schemes are impractical as they are expensive demanding huge installation and maintenance costs. So in this paper, we design and develop a novel OTP delivery system using Raspberry Pi and GSM module taking all the drawbacks of the existing systems into consideration. By using this system, we now can reduce the installing and maintenance costs involved in delivering OTP by 20 percent and 80 percent respectively.

Conclusion
In this paper, we have proposed a new OTP Short Message Service (SMS) delivery system using Raspberry Pi and GSM module. When the user requests OTP, the website sends the OTP to Raspberry Pi through and then the Raspberry Pi uses the GSM module to send SMS to the required user. The user now use this OTP to validate his authenticity on the website and gain access to the content. This advantage of this scheme is that it provides low installation and maintenance costs which makes our system more practical compared to the existing systems.
